Sharing Love for Flood Victims at Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta

An appeal to raise charity for the victims of flood at Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta has collected more than hundreds of acceptable used materials and daily supplies in two weeks from loyal customers of Pondok Indah Mall. Since January 28 until February 9, 2014 charity drop boxes at PIM 1, PIM 2 and Street Gallery have gathered and categorized stuffs such as clothes, blankets, towels, shoes, mineral water, instant noodles, milk, and diapers. With all publicity cooperated with Cosmopolitan FM, Trax FM and Hardrock FM, Management Pondok Indah Mall received multiply numbers of donation in only two weeks. On Monday February 10, all sorted donation distributed to kelurahan Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara Barat, East Jakarta. At least 19 bags of sorted stuffs were given to Rukun Warga Chief at Kelurahan Kampung Melayu. Everybody at the temporary housing camp was so excited and enthusiastic to receive such donation and said “Thank you to all loyal customers of PIM for the generosity, these mean a lot to us.” Team from Pondok Indah Mall and Cosmopolitan FM also visited several sites. About hundreds of properties at Kelurahan Kampung Melayu especially RW 1 have been affected by the flood, and at least 5 houses were burnt, caused by the electricity damage.
